Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Sanctcast ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These terms apply to all users - church administrators and team members. The person who creates the church workspace agrees on behalf of their organisation.

Sanctcast is a free social media scheduling and management platform designed for churches. It allows church teams to draft, review, approve, and publish content to connected social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X/Twitter) with a built-in team approval workflow.

Sanctcast is community-supported and provided free of charge. Voluntary donations keep the service running.

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@sanctcast.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
• One workspace per church. You may create multiple team member accounts within a single workspace.

You agree to use Sanctcast only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not use the Service to:

• Post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory
• Post content that infringes any intellectual property rights
• Publish spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or misleading content
• Impersonate any person, church, or organisation
• Violate the terms of service of any connected social media platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to distribute malware or conduct phishing attacks
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service by automated means

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

When you connect a social media account, you are also bound by that platform's terms of service. You are responsible for ensuring that all content published through Sanctcast complies with:

• Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Terms
• YouTube Terms of Service
• TikTok Terms of Service
• X (Twitter) Terms of Service

Sanctcast is not responsible for content moderation decisions made by social media platforms, including removal of posts or suspension of accounts on those platforms.

You retain full ownership of all content you create and publish through Sanctcast. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the scheduling and publishing features.

We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not use your church's content to train AI models or for any purpose beyond operating the Service.

Sanctcast operates a three-tier role system:

• Pastor / Admin: can approve, reject, schedule, and publish posts; can manage team members and connected accounts
• Member: can create drafts and submit posts for approval; cannot publish directly

The workspace administrator is responsible for assigning appropriate roles and ensuring that team members understand and comply with these terms.

When you connect a social media account to Sanctcast:

• You confirm that you have the authority to connect that account (e.g., you are an admin of the Facebook Page)
• You authorise Sanctcast to publish content on your behalf when you or an authorised team member initiates publishing
• You can revoke this authorisation at any time by disconnecting the account in the Connections settings
• Access tokens are encrypted and stored securely; they are used only to publish content you have explicitly approved

Sanctcast is provided free of charge on a best-efforts basis. We do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications to the Service at any time.

We are not liable for any losses arising from Service downtime, scheduling failures, or failed posts - including missed publication times or social media platform outages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sanctcast and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
• Loss of data, revenue, or reputation
• Actions taken by social media platforms in response to your content
• Unauthorised access to your account where you have failed to maintain adequate security

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed £100 (one hundred pounds sterling).

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion removes all your data from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
